WORKSHOP #11: Austin

There is no registration fee for Build-a-Cell workshop #11.
Travel funding deadline is October 1, 2023.
Registration deadline is November 1, 2023. Please note that we have a strict registration cut-off this time, because we have to place food orders ahead of time. If you want to get fed, register on time.
This workshop is planned a day before Cell-Free Systems meeting. We hope that it helps participants attend both events and save on travel costs.
The workshop starts at 8AM with a plenary session in the Norman Hackerman Building (NHB), Seminar Room 1.720 on the 1st floor (enter on Speedway by the canoe sculpture)

Program
7.30AM - 8.30AM: check-in, breakfast – NHB 1.720
8.30AM - 9.00AM: plenary session – NHB 1.720
9AM - noon: breakout #1 – rooms to be announced at the meeting
12PM: lunch – Lunch will be served back at NHB 1.720
12:30PM - 2PM: poster session outside of NHB 1.720 (overlapping with lunch)
2PM - 4PM: breakout #2 - breakout groups reassemble
4PM - 5PM: closing plenary session – NHB 1.720
Posters
Posters should be no bigger than 36" (L) x 72" (W).
Location
We will meet in the Seminar Room 1.720 in the Norman Hackerman Building (NHB). NHB is located at the corner of 24th St. and Speedway. The Seminar Room is on the 1st floor. The entrance to the Seminar Room is on Speedway, behind the canoe structure.

There are three garages all within walking distance. Parking for the entire workshop (8+ hrs) is $18 by credit card.

Ride-Share Directions
If you are using a ride-share service to commute to the workshop, please navigate to 2500 Speedway, Austin, TX 78712. This is the address for the Molecular Biology Building (MBB). Your driver can either drop you at the intersection of Speedway and Dean Keeton or drive south on Speedway, stopping at the car blockade. NHB is directly south of MBB, and the buildings are connected.
